The facts are that carbohydrates provide the body with the fuel it needs for physical activity and for proper organ function and are are an essential part of a nutritional lifestyle.

The Nutritional Lifestyle message is that carbohydrates are essential in a healthy balanced diet but some kinds of carbohydrates are far better for you than others.

Through our coaching sessions you will discover that the best sources of carbohydrates - whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and beans - promote good health by delivering vitamins, minerals, fiber and a host of important phytonutrients.

You will also discover why it is best to limit easily digested refined carbohydrates from white bread, white rice and other refined grains, pastries, sugared sodas, and other highly processed foods which may contribute to weight gain and promote diabetes and heart disease.

The bottom line is don't be misinformed by fad diets that promote claims that all carbohydrates are bad. Instead learn how to avoid bad carbs while adding good carbs to your nutritional lifestyle.
